Wine Pull Plus

Back by popular demand is the Wine Pull to support the Longest Day.  And this year we are adding spirits such as your favorite bourbon, scotch, whiskey, vodka, craft beer, etc. and thus the name Wine Pull Plus. Our goal is to have 125 bottles of wine or spirits donated. Wine Pull Plus tickets are $15 for a chance at a bottle of wine valued at over $20 and spirits valued at over $25. Last year we had several bottles of wine valued much higher than $20 and we ran out of wine during the Longest Day, so we are asking for additional donations this year, please!

Key dates:
  • Now – wine donations are accepted at IBC
  • June 11 – Wine Pull Plus ticket sales start
  • June 21 – Wine Pull Plus
Bruce Stroud (bstroud897@gmail.com or 317-506-0950), Suzi Pratt, Patti Knote, Connie Latas, and Susan May are leading this event and will be glad to answer any questions.

And More

  • Our bakers have their ovens preheating and are ready to take orders for your favorite treats. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board in the hallway. Contact Melissa Conrad with any questions.
  • The IBC Board of Directors will be selling chances to win 12 free game coupons. Tickets are $10 each. Contact any board member with questions.
  • Back again this year is the popular Lunch and Bridge hosted by Ellen Simon and Judy Sosin. This will be a sanctioned game awarding Masterpoints for just $50. This isn’t just for the ladies – men are welcome too. This is limited to 28 players. There will be a waiting list in the event of cancellations. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board in the hallway. Contact Ellen or Judy with questions.
  • Play with a teacher. Here is your chance to play with one of our excellent IBC teachers and pick-up a tip or two to help improve your game for just $100. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board in the hallway. Contact Tom Frank with questions.
  • We will be having a silent auction again this year. Many of the popular items from previous years will be available along with some new surprises. Contact Brenda Horn or Suzanne Bellamy, if you have questions or items for the auction.
  • There will be a traditional bake sale the week of June 21st. Watch for more information.
  • As we raise funds and awareness for The Longest Day it is a time to cherish the memories of those who are dear to us. There will be cards available for you to write the name of someone you play for and post on the bulletin board in the back room. Contact Mary Beth Ransel if you have questions.
  • The jigsaw puzzle sale has been on-going since last year. If you have puzzles to donate please bring them in. Cost of a puzzle is $5.

Many people have said they like to write one check made out to the Alzheimer’s Association. To facilitate this we will have the purple envelopes and sheets available again. This year you can “Put it on Your Tab”. Keep track of your donations and write one check. Further instructions will be posted on the table in the hallway with the envelopes and drop box.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers to make The Longest Day a success.
