Note: Once you’ve completed a 9-week course and paid-in-full, you can retake the same class free of charge. Most new players find repeating the courses very helpful to solidify their understanding of bridge fundamentals.

Partnership Play starting Tuesday, September 2

Every Tuesday (2:30-4:30) and every Thursday (6:30-8:30) in September and October. Each session is $20. Come as often as you want. Matt will publish the weekly topic (taught on Tuesday and again on Thursday).

Play of the Hand starting Monday, October 13

Take this class after you’ve mastered the basics from the Bidding in the 21st Century (for beginners) class.

Play of the Hand in the 21st Century” focuses on advanced techniques and strategies for playing the declarer’s hand effectively in the game of bridge.

• Explores various methods for counting cards in the opponent’s hands. Understanding the distribution of cards helps declarers make informed decisions during the play of the hand.
• Discusses ways to convey information through bids and plays, allowing partners to exchange key details about their hands.
• Covers when to finesse, when to delay certain plays, and how to maintain control of the tempo to gain an advantage.
• Provides insights into handling different suit combinations, covering scenarios like holding long suits, splitting honors, and managing trump suits effectively.

This class is offered twice on Mondays once in the afternoon and then again in the evening for people who work during the day.

Mondays at 2:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. starting October 13.

This is a 9-week class.

Saturday Practice Play

Every Saturday at 10AM. Play at least 8 hands centered on practicing a bridge skill/convention/etc. Topics announced in advance through IBC’s email list.

You do not need a partner for Practice Play.
